We're Back!

So....
If you have followed the happening of the club in the past you know that we quit posting here due to a large workload and the rise of facebook. Now though through a specialized screening process we are looking to bring this back as an avenue to share Buddhism teachings more readily.

Stay tuned. Hopefully more content will appear in 2017

Peace Day 2013

I apologize that this post is a little late, but things have been crazy around here. Crazy is good for us.
We have been up to a lot of things lately, but this is the first chance that we have had to update the blog.

On Friday September 20, the Fellowship Club attended and participated in the Interfaith Alliance's Interfaith Peace Day service held at the Hawaii Betsuin. Dustin Iwasaki and Kaycie Moribe both in their roles as BSCFC members nad Jr. YBA Federation officers were the service MC's that night under Jake Chang's supervision of course.Megan Pascual sang with the Hawaii Betsuin choir and Brandi Yamamoto performed a song also.

Wayde's Goodbye Oahu Hello Maui party

So if you haven't heard by now Wayde got a considerable promotion at his real job and with the promotion came relocation back to Maui. The Fellowship Club threw him a going away party that involved one of his favorite Oahu activities GoKart Racing. Here are a few pictures from the party:

Meeting the Hashimoto Bunny

Hello Everyone!
If' I'm spamming your feed with tons of post I apologize, but there is finally a quiet moment in between all the craziness and I really wanted to show you all these amazing pictures.
In March the weekend before YESS Camp the Fellowship Club decided to hold a membership retreat at a Beach House in Waialua and along the way do a service project at Wahiawa Hongwanji Mission.
While there won't be any pictures of the Fellowship Club washing the temple window posted on here rest assured that we actually washed the windows. We  were working hard which is why there are not any pictures. After washing the temple windows we had the opportunity to fellowship with the Hashimotos and meet their Bunny. Here are a few pictures:

This is part of the garden underneath the office at Wahiawa Hongwanji.

This is the Hashimoto Bunny. "Why hello new people!"

"I'm going to ignore the camera for a moment because I don't know you, yet..."

Being shown the proper way to be carried and being carried by Michelle. "Why am I being carried and when do I get to go down, since I'm out of my cage"

"Finally on the ground. I think I may hop away now..."

Rev. Wayne Yokoyama's visit

Hello there!
I apologize that this blog has been neglected so much in the recent months. We have been having events at the BSC and you will see from some of the photos on our facebook page that it has been a crazy couple of months.

Mr. Wayne Yokoyama came to visit us in October and we did a joint lecture series with Higashi Hongwanji that also featured Ms Hoshina Seki. Below are a few photos from his lecture with us. We also found out for that he's an ordained minister with Higashi!

Rev. Kevin Kuniyuki introducing Rev. Yokoyama and the beginning of our joint lecture series with Higashi Hongwanji. You can read parts of the lectures from both Rev. Yokoyama and Ms Hoshina Seki in The Metta found on our website.

Hopefully we will have more post about the Fellowship Club soon!
